How to Compare Betting Sites
If you head online, you will notice that there are thousands of different betting sites. Obviously, some of them are going to be better than others. It can be tough to work out which ones, though. This is, partially, why we put together this guide. We want to give you the tools that you need to compare betting sites.
UK Gambling Commission
First and foremost; you should scratch any site that has not been registered with the UK Gambling Commission from your list. You can’t trust these sites. This should narrow down most of the sites that you find online, since many of them will be registered outside of the UK. You can’t actually offer gambling services to anybody within the UK if you are not part of the UK Gambling Commission so they likely would not accept you as a customer anyway.
Number of Events
The next thing we like to look at when we are comparing betting sites is the number of betting options they have available. Of course, most of the people who are heading online are probably going to be betting on football or horse racing, but it is nice to have other events that you can tuck into on occasion to.
The more sports, the better. In fact, we love it when the sites go beyond sports. If they allow us to bet on political events, television events etc. then it is great! We won’t always bet on them, but it is nice that they are there anyway.
We also like each individual event to have countless different bets available. It is nice being able to bet on the winner and the loser of a match, but it is even better (and even better payouts), if you can bet on the more intricate parts of the event e.g. the number of corners, if you are betting on football.
It is impossible for a betting site to always offer the best odds. However, they need to offer competitive odds, or what is the point in betting there? When we are comparing sites, we like to look at the odds side by side to see which site is winning most of the time. However, in an ideal world, you would be registered on several different websites to make sure that you are earning the maximum amount of cash when you bet.
Not an absolute necessity, but we have shown a bit of favouritism for online sites which have live streaming in place. Do not expect to see any major events on them, but a couple of smaller sports on occasion. It is just fun to watch if anything.
If an online betting site does not have a live betting option in place, then it does not work for us. Live betting is so much fun. In case you are not aware; this will allow you to bet while the game is in play. So, for example, if you see the tides of the game changing, then you will be able to have a bet to suit that. The odds will change throughout the game so you may end up seeing a little bit of a bargain.
This is another thing which is important to us. If an online site does not have mobile betting, we are not going to play there. Nobody wants to be sitting in front of a television with a big bulky computer to have a bet. They want to be able to bet from the palm of their hand (big palms if you have a tablet, of course)
We also look at how the site functions. We want to know that it is going to be easy to bet. We want to know that it is going to be easy to get money into your account etc. The customer support also needs to be sublime!
